35 Steaks + Martinis Restaurant Review

: This classic steakhouse’s numerical moniker is inspired by the number of days its premium beef is dry-aged and the quantity of martinis on its menu. A marriage of traditional and modern décor is attained through vintage black-and-white photos, black-pearl glass pendants and suspended chrome-plated chandeliers, while a playlist of classic rock music reminds you that you are still in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. We recommend the crab cake --- 100 percent lump blue crab, Thai spice and red curry cream. The signature dish is the tomahawk steak, a 35-ounce rib-eye that is carved for two and served with a marrow-filled bone. Gems from the sea include seared day boat scallops with caramelized pineapple and shiitake mushrooms; and spicy togarashi-rubbed, sashimi-grade ahi served with a caramelized soy sauce. The bestselling namesake martini is the 35 gimlet --- thinly sliced cucumber, pressed lime and Hendrick's gin. An extensive wine list includes traditional selections from Italy, France and California. Try to save room for “the king of desserts,” a decadent tribute to Elvis containing his favorite ingredients: caramelized bananas on a crunchy peanut crust enclosed by a chocolate crown, peanut butter ice cream and chocolate-covered bacon, topped with a chocolate guitar.
