The Abbey Bar Restaurant Review: It may look like an ordinary pub from the outside, but this bar truly is a beer connoisseur’s hangout. With more than 30 brews on tap --- including New Glarus Spotted Cow Ale and Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest --- you are bound to find your favorite or discover a new one. The wine list offers a nice choice of reds and whites by the glass or bottle. Within walking distance of St. Norbert College, the pub's backwoods-like ambience is a hit with students who come for both the food and the camaraderie. We suggest the Al & Harry burger, a thick combination of brat and hamburger patty, the authentic German Reuben or Italian hoagie melt. For lighter appetites, there's the grilled chicken Caesar sandwich served on focaccia. Also on the menu: pizzas, pasta, soups and salads. |
