Located in St. Philip’s Plaza, Acacia represents some of the best dining Tucson has to offer, thanks to chef Albert Hall and his staff, who confidently mingle fine dining with fun. Start with the tomato and bocconcini salad, an interesting spin on a Caprese, which comes with two types of greens as well. The cherry-smoked breast of duckling is equally successful with its huckleberry-pomegranate glaze and purple potato and wonton tower. The angel hair pasta and grilled Guaymas shrimp, swathed in chipotle cream bolstered by roasted tomatoes and goat cheese, is another big hit. Round out the meal with Acacia’s cheese selection, or perhaps one of the hand-crafted ice creams. Acacia has four menus---lunch, dinner, Sunday brunch and anytime---that play off of one another, but still remain distinctly unique. A Sunday jazz brunch blends good food with cool jazz. There is also live music on the patio every Friday and Saturday night.
