Accanto Restaurant Review: Accanto’s glassed-in corner space offers a lovely setting from which to watch the world go by on busy Belmont Street. It’s a comfortable neighborhood spot, welcoming to families, couples, groups and singles, who often perch for hours at the friendly bar with an open newspaper and a coffee or a cocktail. Start with a snack of fritto misto, a light, crackling mix of prawns, calamari, lemon slices, fennel spears and whole olives. Or choose the charcuterie plate featuring artisan-cured meats and cheeses from around the world. For something more substantial, order the lasagna with lamb bolognese sauce. In fact, any of the house-made pastas are a good bet, as are the inventive fish dishes, such as salmon with pancetta and peaches. Dessert fans will delight in the various ice creams and sorbets, and the baked-to-order chocolate budino. In addition to the aforementioned cocktails, the bar offers several well chosen beers and a notable wine list. Happy hour --- where you can enjoy a full meal, too --- is one of the best in town.
