This cozy bar and restaurant off the Hyman Mall is tucked in a cellar with a large fireplace. Local professionals flock here for the good, inexpensive lunch specials. The food is about as eclectic as the Aspen population, with favorites from all over the world. One of the popular appetizers is the black pepper calamari with buffalo mozzerella. Entrées are as varied as Aspen’s population: marinated elk tenderloin over herb-cheese with polenta; udon noodles with julienne vegetables and a Thai red curry coconut cream sauce; pistachio crusted mahi-mahi; and pan-seared Charleston-style crabcakes. Come here when no one in your group can agree on what kind of food they want for dinner. It will solve the problem.
