Adobe Grill Restaurant Review: Adobe Grill’s setting is as delightful as the spicy choices found on its menu. Located at the tony La Quinta Resort & Club, opened in 1926 and a favorite of Hollywood moguls and movie stars, this hacienda-style hideaway overlooks a Spanish courtyard where the strain of live music often serenades diners. Aside from some serious salt-rimmed margaritas, Adobe Grill offers guacamole prepared tableside, along with house-made tortillas. Rock shrimp-stuffed chiles have a bite, and the pecan-maple crusted halibut is a nice surprise. Usual suspects include carne asada and citrus-marinated ceviche, too, along with traditional chicken mole. For dessert, be sure to finish with a house-made churro dusted with sugar and cinnamon.
