 Adobe Grill Restaurant Review: Adobe Grill has served generations of guests of the La Quinta Resort & Club, which has been a hideaway for refugees from Hollywood and the East Coast since 1926. This hacienda-style oasis, located on the second floor (above TWENTY6), features colorful art frescoes of Oaxacan animals, a double-sided fireplace and a pyramid of glowing tequila bottles in the center of the room. Trophies that have been collected from the award-winning tamales are displayed near the entrance. Start off with the citrus-marinated ceviche or the fresh guacamole prepared tableside. Tacos, fajitas, traditional chicken mole and other regional Mexican dishes make up the menu. Finish up with the tres leches cake or horchata flan. A variety of margaritas are offered, including the “Perfect Margarita” made with Peligroso Silver Tequila, Citronge liqueur, fresh lemon and lime juice, and a splash of orange juice. Sitting on the outdoor tiled patio at dusk and listening to the live band might be the next best thing to actually being on vacation in Mexico. |
