Take a short trip to Brazil by dining at Agora, which means “now” in Portuguese. Most people don't realize this is a rather reasonable buffet lunch or dinner spot as well as an all-you-can-eat Brazilian barbecue restaurant. The hearty buffet includes deli-style chilled salads, freshly-cut fruits, hot dishes like black bean stew and an extensive salad bar. The sizzling meats come to your table via smiling “gauchos,” who bring 12 types of charred meat on saber-like skewers such as filet mignon wrapped in bacon, lamb chops, tri-tip steak, chicken legs and chicken hearts. Although desserts cost extra, they are worth it, especially the blackberry Cabernet, mango and blood orange sorbets. |
