You don't often see Jamaican influences on a Japanese menu, but Aki chef-owner Siggy Nakanishi used to work for the Japanese Ambassador to the West Indies. Besides jerk chicken, other ingredients used to create surprise seasonal pairings include mango chutney and salsa. If you prefer to go traditional, Aki also serves straightforward nigiri sushi and sashimi. |
