Al Dar Restaurant Review: This busy spot has a dimly lit, bustling bar that appeals to a well-heeled Main Line clientele. The mood is informal and there is a wide array of entrées and salads with a Mediterranean influence, including garlicky grilled shrimp in an ouzo sauce and traditional kafta kebabs. You can't go wrong with the assorted mezes for an appetizer, or the spanakopita for an entrée. Turkey and beef burgers, gyros and falafel, and wood-fired pizza are available for take-out. Service is often haphazard and perfunctory, but the regulars don't seem to mind. |
