Al Dar Restaurant Review:

This busy spot has a dimly lit, bustling bar that appeals to a well-heeled Main Line clientele. The mood is informal and there is a wide array of entrées and salads with a Mediterranean influence, including garlicky grilled shrimp in an ouzo sauce and traditional kafta kebabs. You can't go wrong with a mix of mezes for an appetizer, or the spanakopita for a main. Turkey and beef burgers, gyros and falafel, and wood-fired pizza are available for take-out. Service is often haphazard and perfunctory, but the regulars don't seem to mind.
