Aldo's Ristorante Restaurant Review: Aldo's is a winning combination of good Italian comfort food and Virginia Beach's glitterati. Dishes such as Cape Henry crab meat capellini, chicken or veal Marsala, and fileto al Cognac (hand-cut, seven-ounce filet of beef topped with a Cognac and peppercorn sauce) plus pizzas from the wood-burning brick oven and a notable wine list have delighted Hampton Roadsters and tourists for 25 years. The moderately priced, extensive menu makes this a favorite of families, but the addition of live entertainment and a sophisticated meet-and-greet bar area mean Aldo's is a place where the beautiful people gather in the evenings for a variety of fruit-flavored mojitos and hot toddies with local honey. |
