THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Alexander's Restaurant Restaurant Review:
This is the best place for vegetarian Mexican in Denver. In fact, one side of the menu only lists vegetarian specialties: cheese and onion enchilada, potato and cheese quesadilla and bean and white cabbage burritos. There’s no lard in the refried beans and no meat in the green chili and they are delicious. For non-vegetarians, there are plenty of traditional Mexican dishes to choose from. The chunky guacamole---loaded with jalapeños and tomatoes---is especially tasty. If you’re hungry, order double because, unfortunately, the portions here are disappointingly small. Fortunately, prices are low. The décor is simple; kerosene lamps on the tables and hanging on the pink adobe walls along with some Mexican beer signs. If you want to have a conversation, choose a table that’s well away from the wall-mounted speakers. The music and the pool table area are both very noisy. Service is friendly but casual.
