| Michael Cordúa of Churrasco's and Américas has brought his inventive signature Central and South American cuisine to the Rice University neighborhood with this casual counter-service café. Jungle favorites include the Amazon, a fire-roasted, corn-crusted chicken breast; and the Peru, which wraps the chicken breast in potato slices. Meat dishes include achiote-rubbed, wood-grilled pork loin. Puffy tacos, which are heavenly light, will keep you just as light on your toes; but some fish entrées miss the mark. Less adventurous eaters will like the chicken burger or hamburger and kids are crazy for the s'mores prepared tableside with a tiny grill. |
