THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Ambrosia Grille Restaurant Review: The gutsy, authentic Greek cooking at Ambrosia Grille includes a velvety smooth hummus served with hot triangles of pita, and skorthalia, a plate of cold and garlicky mashed potatoes also served with bread. For a good sampling of the range of Greek flavors, consider the Ambrosia Grille special, with portions of gyros, pork souvlaki, feta cheese and tzadziki sauce. Steer away from the enormous servings of moussaka or pastitsio in favor of the gyros and sandwiches. Note that Greek cooking notwithstanding, the kitchen whips up a line of Italian specials, including veal piccata, spaghetti with meat sauce and lasagna. The baklava is the best we’ve had, bar none. Dense and thoroughly drenched in sugar syrup, it comes almost as large as a slice of cake.
