American Roadhouse offers standout breakfasts as well as blue plate specials for both breakfast and lunch. We like the Florentine Benedict, which mounds a pair of poached eggs atop fresh spinach, tomato slices and an English muffin, the whole napped in hollandaise sauce. Poached eggs on house-made corned beef hash is another good choice. The organic coffee is from Valentine Coffee Roasters. Folk art-style paintings by Kennesaw artist Holly Jones grace the restaurant, as does an oversize metal rooster that guards the entrance. The original location is at 842 N.
