Situated on the Nautical Mile on Lake St. Clair, this Italian family restaurant works well within the framework of the large two-story building. The menu features osso buco, rich, buttery and fork-tender. There’s also Mike Ditka's famed one-pound pork chop, which is worth the 30-minute wait. The bar is cigar-friendly. There's a notable wine selection, though other drink offerings include Collesi Birra (beer that's made according to an ancient monk's recipe). Try the Collesi Imperiale Amber Ale “Fiat Lux,” served in a big, balloon wine glass. The second floor is J.J.’s Pie Company, even more casual than downstairs, serving traditional, deep-dish, Chicago-style pizza.
