Andrei's Conscious Cuisine & Cocktails Restaurant Review: Andrei's Conscious Cuisine & Cocktails is a labor of love for OC socialite and entrepreneur Natalia Olenicoff, who opened this organic two-story restaurant in memory of her late brother. The venue’s green philosophy works in concert with a smart sense of sophistication. Marble accents, recycled wood floors, a centralized bar, subdued shades and a floor-to-ceiling lobby waterfall help create a lively vibe that is decidedly metropolitan in nature. A sense of harmony sets the stage for French-born chef Yves Fournier's Cal-Mediterranean cuisine. Start with a refreshing cocktail paired with such small plates as the tender octopus salad with chorizo or the chicken kebabs with harissa yogurt, Select a glass of wine from the well-chosen list to complement your main course. Orange-infused boneless braised beef short ribs with cipollini onions and baby carrots served with garlic, sage and ricotta gnocchi display the chef’s knack for hitting well-rounded flavor notes. Pastry chef Elyssa Fournier, who is the chef’s wife, creates all the desserts, highlighted by the goat cheese cheesecake drizzled with balsamic caramel.
