For more than a decade, locals have flocked to Andy Nguyen's for its fresh, healthy take on Vietnamese food. Unlike the Broadway location, which is all vegetarian, this outpost offers poultry, beef, pork and seafood, charbroiled or stir-fried with fresh herbs and spices, all at reasonable prices. Starters include shrimp- and pork-stuffed crêpes and barbecued-beef rolls, while mains include salt-baked crab, deep-fried fish and pepper shrimp. Traditional rice and noodle plates are on the menu, or choose your protein and have it sautéed with curry, pineapple, lemongrass or hot chili. Wash it down with a Vietnamese beer or indulge in house-made flan.
