| While the Rancho Cordova branch of this local restaurant serves up traditional, meat-based Vietnamese, the Broadway location serves only vegetarian meals. Although vegetarians and vegans make up much of the clientele at this no-meat eatery, even strict carnivores will be pleasantly surprised at the soy-based substitutes. Whether it be barbecued pork chops over rice, spicy beef with veggies or chicken drumsticks in yellow curry, the dishes can fool even the most devout meat eater. In fact, Andy Nguyen’s has transformed every Asian staple, from spring rolls to noodle soup, chow mein to fried rice, into Buddhist-friendly forms. |
