Antonino's Ristorante Italiano Restaurant Review

: We are pleasantly surprised to find this Inland Empire gem tucked into a suburban shopping center. Its dining room has more than a touch of elegance, with peach-hued walls covered with gilt-framed reproductions of Italian classics, and linen-topped, candlelit tables that are paired with comfortable arm chairs. The chef/owner of Antonino's hails from India, but he cooks as if he was born and raised in Milan. To start, we like gambretti Livornese (shrimp sautéed in olive oil, white wine and a light marinara sauce), as well as the mozzarella caprese. A handful of basic pizzas also make an appearance. Pastas --- like tortellini filled with ground meat in a wild mushroom cream sauce --- are deftly prepared. So are main courses such as chicken breast sautéed with sausage, capers and white wine; rack of lamb in a Chianti reduction; and veal Marsala. Considering the quality, prices are surprisingly moderate. Wines come from large California producers.
