| Aqua's food remains above reproach. Chef Alan Ashkinaze oversees a menu that features favorites like filet steak, foie gras and lobster pot pie (not the sort Mom used to make but, rather, delectable chunks of lobster and seasonal vegetables framed by thin-as-parchment puff pastry). A rare Burgundy from the well-stocked wine cellar complements the steak and foie gras perfectly. Made-to-order soufflé flavors might include banana or chocolate. Alas, the service is not always as reliable as the food. The waiters definitely want to please, but their accuracy can be spotty, especially when serving larger parties. |
