Aquarium Restaurant Review:

Aquarium may be the nicest place to eat on the family-friendly Kemah Boardwalk on the Texas Gulf Coast, even if the fare is pretty basic. Traditional shrimp cocktail and oysters on the half-shell are fairly unambitious starters, which include the requisite fried fish platters, stuffed crabs and shrimp done every which way; the kids’ menu has pizzas, burgers and mac ‘n’ cheese. But the real reason to dine here is sitting around the 50,000-gallon aquarium where divers feed the sharks twice a day; there’s also a stingray reef where diners can actually pet the creatures. Special events and classes on sea life for the kids are available, too, making the overall experience more about entertainment than food.
