| Situated in a Studio City strip mall, this Mediterranean restaurant specializes in the cuisine of Armenia and Lebanon. Originally from Beirut, Araz’s chef-owner cooks assertive food using plenty of herbs, both fresh and dried, in welcome opposition to the rather bland setting. In addition to solid renditions of chicken and beef kebabs, expect more interesting dishes like juicy marinated quail, lamb chops, and fava beans with garlic, lemon and olive oil. There are a few compelling vegetarian dishes, highlighted by a fried mixture of green beans or spinach and eggs, as well as a traditional falafel plate. |
