![]() Asiana Cafe Restaurant Review: Sibling restaurateurs Jing and Alan Lee have redefined the concept of Asian cuisine in Greenwich with a creative Pan-Asian approach. At this chic yet unpretentious sister restaurant of Penang Grill, cherry wood paneling, textured walls and inset wall lighting create a stylish dining area --- a good backdrop in which to explore a consistently well-executed menu. Among the dishes that demonstrate the brotherly duo at its best is the chicken with lettuce cups, an Asian version of a Mexican fajita with crisp lettuce substituting for the tortilla wrap. Standouts among the entrées include spicy Mandarin beef and a delicate miso-glazed salmon with a touch of sweetness. The Asiana roast duck is aromatic and pungent. A very reasonable wine list features Cabernet Sauvignons, red blends and a number of whites. Although the emphasis is on the savory, those needing a sweet finish choose from a selection of ice creams. |
