Atari Ya Restaurant Review: Atari Ya brought sushi to Santa Maria long before sushi became commonplace, and even though it’s located in a shopping center, it is still a go-to place for classic Japanese, from sashimi to shabu shabu. Favorites are the chirashi (fresh sashimi on a bed of rice), the spicy salmon roll, and the spare rib special with tempura and California roll. If it’s chilly, tuck into a steaming bowl of udon or ramen. Saké and beer are the best beverage options; desserts are the usual green tea and mochi ice creams. |
