Aurora Restaurant Review: A blissful sun-drenched Tuscan afternoon comes to mind as soft lights cast a luminescent glow on the cream-and-beige-colored dining room. Caramel hued banquette seating and Italian-style decorative ceramic ware add to the juxtaposition of contemporary and provincial. The rustic yet refined Italian cuisine includes such light and flavorful starters as grilled kale salad with Bosc pear, date vinegar, manchego cheese and toasted pecans. Among the pastas, try the inventive autumn flavors of butternut squash and celery root ravioli with brown butter, sage and pepitas, and the bucatini with shrimp, olive oil-poached tuna, Gaeta olives and capers in a spicy tomato sauce. Entrées include a tender Peking duck breast with roasted parsnip purée, huckleberries and tellicherry pepper and Australian lamb chops accompanied by stuffed baby eggplant, pomegranate reduction and lemon yogurt.
