Country Flame Restaurant Review:

What do Mexican and Cuban cuisines have in common? Yes, they favor spicy dishes and usually are moderately priced. If those are your criteria, Country Flame is for you. You have to like a place that makes first-rate margaritas and even delivers them to your hotel or doorstep (within the French Quarter). Tostones, quesadillas and ropa vieja are all the rage, but a surprisingly tasty assortment of good old American barbecue is available, too. Baby-back ribs are a standout; the T-bone and rib-eye steaks are not bad either. Daily specials run the gamut from Mexican pizzas to enchilada dinners to crispy fried shrimp platters. Dessert is flan. There’s a full bar with a small selection of beers and wine but, really, this is margarita country.
