The Happiest Hour Restaurant Review:

The Happiest Hour is a thrill of a cocktail bar with above-average drink-friendly fare. With plenty of palm trees on the wall, it’s hard to imagine you’re in New York City. Cocktails also have a tropical air: Maid to Order is mint, cucumber, lime and your choice or booze; Link Ray boasts celery, Suze, lime, cane, soda and jalapeño tequila. The menu can be hit or miss: the odd-sounding “smoked fish dip” and the bonsai chicken bites are ho-hum on the palate. The avocado sandwich and fried chicken sandwich are good sustenance to prolong a night of imbibing. The burger, though, is the one edible reason to return here again and again. There are five from which to choose, but the star of the show is the two-patty Happiest Burger topped with American cheese, confit onions and a special sauce. It’s one of the best burgers in a neighborhood brimming with burger spots. If you need to end it all on a sweet note, the brownie à la mode is worth a bite.
