The Oceanaire Seafood Room Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant: The Oceanaire Seafood Room, located in the former US Trust Bank space abutting Government Center and City Hall Plaza, is where neighboring politicos come for an expense account meal.

Food & Drinks: The extensive menu changes daily and features a good variety of hot and cold appetizers, like spicy tuna poke and shrimp and grits. The Oceanaire takes seafood seriously, offering an array of local dishes --- Massachusetts flounder and New Bedford sea scallops --- as well as specialties including sesame-crusted Hawaiian tuna. Iceland Arctic char and Bay of Fundy salmon are examples of seafood that can be simply grilled, seared or broiled. The 22-ounce bone-in rib-eye was a nice surprise; its quality was on par with those available at the major steakhouses. Sides are generously portioned and served à la carte. Don't miss the hashed browns, which can also be prepared "a la Oceanaire" (with Tabasco sauce and bacon). Baked Alaska is among desserts. Happy hour at the bar is weekdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.; expect fish tacos, Parmesan truffle fries and mini filet mignon sliders.
