The Old Monk Restaurant Review:

This is the joint to hit up when a fish ‘n’ chips craving strikes: delicately battered and nicely fried, the fish is served with a massive mound of long, stringy fries. Even though the bar is owned by a couple of Irish guys who prefer that you douse your fish with malt vinegar, ketchup is also available. Hearty moules frites come with the same fab fries. If fowl sounds better than fish, then try the pistachio-fried chicken with Strongbow cider barbecue sauce and ranch dressing. German sausages, an English cheese board and sandwiches are on the menu, too, all fine complements to the dozens of European beers on hand. Burgers include the namesake Monk Burger touting caramelized onions, bacon and Welsh rarebit, plus lettuce, tomato and mayo. If it’s a hair-of-the-dog sort of day, a brunch visit to the Old Monk is an excellent way to atone for last night's debauchery with eggs Benedict and a Bloody Mary or two.
