Robata Grill & Sake Bar is a longtime destination for Japanese fare and sushi in Carmel's The Barnyard. A number of specialty rolls augment the menu of maki and nigiri from the sushi bar. We recommend the sand dab roll: the locals' favorite fish is matched up with macadamia nuts and avocado. As the restaurant's name implies, there is a vast selection of grilled items as well as specialties such as the Volcano, a sushi and sashimi combo. Complement your meal with saké. Another nice touch is the kids’ menu offering either udon or a bento box of fresh Japanese food.
