Salacia Restaurant Review:

Salacia takes its name from the wife of Neptune, the god of the sea in Roman mythology. As would be expected, the menu specializes in seafood with options including a splashy iced shellfish platter from the raw bar showcasing jumbo shrimp cocktail, Blue Point oysters, jumbo lump crab, ahi poke and Prince Edward Island mussels. The fresh catch of the day comes in any number of tasteful preparations, such as sea salt roasted with extra virgin olive oil, lemon, capers and roasted tomato; and the "Neptune Surf & Turf" is comprised of a one-pound Maine lobster tail and a ten-ounce double-cut filet, bridging to its equally substantial Butcher’s Cut selections. There you also will find a 16-ounce, richly marbled USDA Prime New York strip and herb-crusted rack of lamb. Whether you veer towards land or sea, leave room for chocolate ganache cake with pistachio ice cream. The dining room has a modern feel with cream and blue colors, while the outdoor patio looks out to the ocean with a sexy-glam insouciance that rivals Miami Beach. Take note of the dress code and children’s policy before reserving.
