SoHo Restaurant Review:
Global flavors are featured throughout SoHo’s menu: Asian tastes begin with the signature calamari with ginger-and-soy glaze counterbalanced by serrano pepper, with tempura crispness; and chicken tortilla soup from the restaurant’s days when the cooking of the American Southwest was predominant. Blackened grouper picks up a Cajun reference with a crawfish beurre blanc, while the hanger steak looks southward with its chimichurri sauce (we ordered it rare and that’s how it arrived, accompanied by asparagus and good fries). A trio of sliders is designed as an appetizer but makes a fine light lunch main dish. Elk is a game standard. Warm chocolate bread pudding is a delightful conclusion, topped with a bit of ice cream, but we also like the cheese plate. There is a gluten-free menu available at both lunch and dinner, and one for those attending performances at the Cobb Energy Center a mile away. The ample, well-chosen wine list offers about 40 choices by the glass, making SoHo an ideal spot for browsing a variety of wines. Ask about Flight Night to explore the wine list.
