THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Baile Corcaigh Restaurant Review:

When in Corktown, be sure to stop at Baile Corcaigh (pronounced bal-ya cor-kee) for sophisticated Irish fare. Its décor includes nineteenth-century stained glass church windows and a quarry stone fireplace embedded with a map of Ireland made of one stone from each of the 32 counties. Think beyond corned beef and cabbage (though even that is served in a haute cuisine style). There’s leek and potato pie, lamb stew and dingle pie (lamb stew in a crust). There are, of course, Irish whiskeys, specialty beers and a great bar for watching local sports. Your sadness is taken seriously during the restaurant's "Melancholy Hour" every Wednesday and Thursday, from 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. To help ease that sorrow, there's a dollar off of every Irish libation and free Irish chips. On the Sunday of each month, Irish book fans can meet downstairs in Mooney's Pub for the Irish-themed book club. This is one restaurant that takes its roots seriously.
