THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Balkan Grill Restaurant Review

: Sometimes interesting food turns up in the most unlikely places, and who would have thought that a Turkish market, stocked with everything from rosewater to assorted sizes of cracked wheat, would star a fledgling café where you can order a burek (phyllo stuffed with your choice of meat, cheese or vegetables) the size of a tire, grilled sausages on a huge roll, and something called a Bosnia burger, served mild or hot, and topped with mixed greens and a thick Turkish cream. The menu displays other offerings, from salads to heartier fare such as chicken schnitzel with fries, but you’ll find the sausage or burger sandwiches very satisfying. Ask about some baklava for dessert, and after the meal, browse through the grocery section for take-home exotic ethnic ingredients.
