Bambara Restaurant Review: Located inside the très chic Hotel Marlowe in Kendall Square, this sexy, contemporary restaurant attracts a formidable after-work crowd. They may come for the drinks, but invariably stay for the food. The kitchen is headed up by chef David Bazirgan, who brings global flavors to the table. The menu might range from seared foie gras with tamarind and pear baharat (a spice blend used in Middle Eastern cuisine) to monkfish bouillabaisse to chicken with carrots, freekeh, parsnip and salsa verde. New England flavors are represented by creamy clam chowder and lobster fettuccine. Pair it with a Tea Party cocktail, glass of wine or one of the many microbrews on draft. End the meal with banana bread pudding with dulce de leche ice cream.
