Bambino's Pizzeria Restaurant Review: Bambino’s inviting brick interior, generous portions and affordable prices have made this neighborhood pizzeria a longtime Belltown favorite. The convivial although sometimes spotty service and a notable list of beers on tap also recommend this upbeat Italian café. Baked in a wood-fired oven, the pizzas’ thin-crisp crust rivals those at other name-brand spots. Guests can create their own pizza combinations or select a signature pie, all prepared with quality ingredients. Our favorites include the simple Bufala with tomato sauce, mozzarella, fresh basil and olive oil; the Bianca topped with mozzarella and ricotta cheeses, plus Parmigiano-Reggiano with a hint of basil and oregano; and the Calorosa, a meat-eaters delight featuring smoked mozzarella, Italian sausage, pepperoni and bacon. The generous Caesar salad is crisp and easily serves three people, while the insalata boasts an orange vinaigrette with baby greens, roasted beet and ricotta. It's a family-friendly spot but equally good for late-night dates (closing time is 11 p.m.), and it's a stone’s throw from Seattle Center. |
