THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Banana Moon Restaurant Review:
Decoratively, this spot from chef-owner Alan Wolf, formerly of Carlos', is a stand-out with its lively blown glass lighting, but abrupt service may make dining uncomfortable. Food is familiar but unpredictably executed. The chicken sausage, caramelized onion and Fontina flatbread stands out, but the pan-seared scallops atop fennel-artichoke slaw were unevenly heated. Among entrées, the barbecue pork tenderloin wins paired with sausage cornbread, butter-braised Brussels sprouts and sweet-tart apple gastrique. The chocolate mousse cake with a house-made Kit Kat is a knockout.
