| The Mission is particularly rich in Thai restaurants, and the diminutive Bangkok 16 is a neighborhood favorite: Spend a few moments inside and you'll know why. The hook is the charming, home-style dining room and the exceptionally gracious service. The food shines, too. One appetizer, meang-kom, is startling and delicious. A plethora of ingredients (ginger, lemon, coconut, peanuts, onions and dried shrimp) comes with spinach leaves for you to roll your own delicacies. The Bangkok 16 crêpe is similarly delicious; in fact, all the dishes on the extensive menu are artfully presented and served. |
