Creamy yellow walls trimmed in white and flickering candlelight reflecting mischievously in artfully placed mirrors bring a dreamy glow to the proceedings, inviting you to unwind while the procession of well turned out dishes---a shahi korma, for example, whose chunks of lamb bathe in a wickedly creamy yogurt sauce scented with cinnamon, cumin, and cardamom---perfume the air deliciously. Green chiles bring judiciously powerful heat to the chicken cheera. Do try the house specialty, fish tikka, which is charcoal-grilled salmon and vegetables with a redolent masala on the side. Service can be tiresomely slow, but relax into the atmosphere and an evening's enjoyment will be yours. |
