Bantam + Biddy Restaurant Review: Atlanta chefs Shaun Doty and Lance Gummere feature pastured and all-natural poultry, seasonal organic vegetables and regional fare at their Bantam + Biddy. A breakfast dish of chicken and waffles highlights tender, juicy fried chicken and cheddar waffles, though the taste of the cheese is totally lost. Poached eggs are skillfully rendered. Super flaky cheddar biscuits are crisp on top and come apart in layers. While rotisserie chicken is the specialty, Gummere’s chicken potpie is a tasty option. Grass-fed beef is used to craft the meatloaf, a thick chunk, but we think it needs to be cooked less so it’s a bit moister. The 10-and-under "little cluckers" menu offers chicken penne, rotisserie-chicken quesadillas and more. Pies, rice pudding and cookies may round out the meal. A few decent wines, beers (including brews on draught) and house-made cocktails comprise the quaffs. Gluten-free items are available.
