BaoBQ Restaurant Review: Part of Michael ‘Bao’ Huynh’s ebbing and flowing restaurant empire, this Asian-style barbecue spot serves up meat dishes in an eight-seat space. Tender chicken and pork chops come with sticky rice and a side of fish sauce for dipping. The McBao, its name a reference to MacDougal Street, is a Chinese-style bun with sausage and pickled vegetables. There are also decent banh mi made with chicken, pork or meatballs. Wash it all down with a Vietnamese iced coffee, sweetened with condensed milk. |
