Bar-Acuda Restaurant Review: This sharp little tapas restaurant is like an oasis in the desert, refreshing the otherwise dreary culinary world of Kauai's North Shore. Owner-chef Jim Moffat is innovative and devoted to fresh, seasonal foods and sourcing foodstuffs locally. This passion is reflected in the brief menu he regularly re-creates. Small dishes have included whole roasted tomato bruschetta; seared Hawaiian ono; North Shore honeycomb and goat cheese paired with apple; grilled lamb riblettes with feta cheese; ahi niçoise; and tropical fruit crisp. The dining room is warmly intimate, or you can relax amid lush greenery and fresh air at a table on the wide, covered wooden porch.
