Barroco Grill Restaurant Review: Barroco Grill’s ambience is more food truck than fine dining, but the cooking renders the uncomfortable chairs and wobbly tables completely irrelevant. An open kitchen lets patrons view a team of chefs creating a well-crafted menu of authentic Colombian fare. Start with the cheesy corn made with chicken, bacon and molten mozzarella, served in a crock alongside deep-fried arepa fingers (a corn cake made from precooked corn flour) for dipping fondue-style. For a main course, arepas can be filled with your choice of chicken, steak or vegetables and eaten like a sandwich. You can customize them to your heart's content and top with your choice of house sauces. The Cubano sandwich and bistec a caballo (strip steak with tomato and onion sauce) also are options if you’re looking for something a bit more substantial. Barroco Grill is BYOB friendly. |
