Deep eggplant-colored walls with low lighting levels make this strip-center suburban restaurant a good spot for romantic dining close to home, though it’s also popular with families. Home-style Mediterranean cooking is the draw with many recipes coming from family sources. Classically made hummus, tabbouleh and baba ghanouj are simple and direct. Fried calamari accompanied by a cilantro aïoli is popular, as is the lamb, halibut and sea bass. Seafood pasta is served on saffron angel hair with a tomato-leek sauce. All desserts are made in-house, including good baklava.
