Beach Pit BBQ Newport-Mesa Restaurant Review: Newport-Mesa’s Beach Pit BBQ is a neighborhood favorite for smoky and savory Southern-style barbecue, along with healthy entrée salads and good side dishes. All of the wood-smoked meats are tender and flavorful, including the pulled pork, beef brisket, ribs and chicken. There are also salads, sandwiches, pizzas, wraps and a nice kids’ menu. Don’t miss the sweet potato fries, blueberry cornbread or banana pudding dessert. The outdoor playground---in addition to the kids’ menu---makes it a draw for Newport parents. For the holidays and on special request, the Beach Pit smokes up spice-rubbed turkeys overnight for easy family feasts. |
