THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Beech Street Grill Restaurant Review:
Upon first glance, Beech Street Grill appears to be yet another restaurant housed in a drafty, restored Victorian house flaunting yet another menu of Contemporary-Floribbean cuisine. But appearances can be deceiving, for locals and vacationers alike continue to flock to this former sea captain's house for possibly the island's best food. The reasons are obvious; you'll find the area's freshest seafood embellished with homemade chutneys and sauces, snappy service and a notable wine list. You can't go wrong with one of the daily fish specials or a regular favorite---the macadamia nut-crusted grouper. Likewise, the broiled scallops in a sherry vinegar cream sauce with arugula, white truffle oil and fried leeks are standouts. Chocolate truffle torte with crème anglaise and Key lime pie (made the right way with graham cracker crust) polish off the dining experience.
