| Change is always in the air at this well-situated restaurant located in the rejuvenated downtown of St. Petersburg. Chefs have come and gone, but it maintains modest pricing and a largely Italian cuisine offered amid a smart, neutral décor with a lively bar scene. Antipasto can be creative, such as the spicy shrimp (with white wine and herbs on white cheddar polenta), and tuna crunch (with shaved fennel, Florida grapefruit, avocado and chili oil). Similarly, in addition to the pizza options (try the one topped by a sunny-side-up egg), there are a half-dozen pasta selections that include fettuccine with lamb sugo, chilies and mint, and goat cheese agnolotti with marinated tomatoes and asparagus. We also suggest the grilled prosciutto-wrapped Florida grouper, prepared with charred corn and asparagus pastina and roasted pepper butter. |
