THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CHANGING LOCATIONS Bella Luna is the perfect neighborhood pizza parlor for the hip hodgepodge of a neighborhood that is Jamaica Plain. The owners made the transition to the restaurant biz from non-profit work to stop violence; they also have the Milky Way Lounge & Lanes downstairs, a hybrid retro lounge-and-candlepin bowling alley. A loud-and-lively design scheme extends to the plates designed by customers, on which the sweet and sassy young staff serves up wittily named and wildly conceived pizzas (mashed potatoes, steak tips, and salsa are all possible toppings), as well as a fun menu that careens from bruschetta and quesadillas to spinach-ricotta ravioli in ginger cream and gnocchi with smoked ham and asparagus to monthly changing desserts like blood-orange panna cotta with ladyfingers.
