Bella Nonna Restaurant & Pizzeria Restaurant Review: A simple, bright interior with a few pastel paintings on the wall and uniformly spaced wooden tables and chairs reflects the food at this home-style Italian restaurant and pizzeria. Hand-tossed pies are inventive; highlights include "White Clams" with garlic, olive oil and cheese and "Nonna's Salad" combining lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, olives, cucumbers and Gorgonzola topped with house-made dressing. Classically prepared pastas will not disappoint. Try the penne alla vodka and the ravioli stuffed with ricotta in a basil tomato sauce. Entrées like chicken Sorrentino, a pounded chicken breast with layers of eggplant, tomatoes and melted mozzarella served with vegetables and roasted potatoes; and veal Parmigiana over penne are similarly traditionally prepared.
